The LiteMat Plus 3 is based on three “tile-like” illuminated areas, each with a size of 240 mm x 480 mm. The main unit has 1728 novel CineMitter LEDs and is covered with a thin, clear polycarbonate layer and completely bordered with Velcro “Loop”. The bracket comes with a Kino Flo® compatible, removable gimbal mount bracket. With the “Soft-Through-Pixelization” method, the LiteMat + Plus 3 achieves surprisingly bright lighting results.
By providing evenly spaced, Color-Correct LEDs spread out over a large area, LiteMat+ Plus creates soft light without requiring diffusion. This “soft-through-pixelization” method allows the unit to achieve surprisingly bright light levels while remaining under 1″ (23mm) thick and weighing just 2.5 lb (1.13 kg).
